The House at Pooh Corner, 1st edn 1928 (A A Milne)The final book about Winnie-the-Pooh and his pals was The House at Pooh Corner, first published on 11th October 1928. It introduced a new character, Tigger, to the forest.

Pooh, as Edward Bear, appeared in When We Were Very Young, a collection of children's verse, in 1924; the story collection Winnie-the-Pooh amplified the character in 1926, followed by his inclusion in several poems in the 1927 collection Now We Are Six.

Very little changed on the early printings of these jackets; the first is identified by the issue count of When We Were Very Young on the back flap - it is 179th Thousand on the first, but 189th Thousand by the second printing in December of 1928.

Jacket illustrations by E H Shepard.
